I think there is a simple answer for this, but I can't seem to get it.

How do I set a combo box so the user must select something from it and not be able to add anything? If I lock the field - it doesn't let me even select one of the options.

Thanks for your help

To make the user enter a value into a field simply open the table in design view and set the "Required" property of the field to "Yes".

To ensure the user cannot enter a value that's not on the list open the form in design view and then open the properties window of the field in question. On the "Data" tab you'll see and option called "Limit To List" - set this to "Yes"

Hope this helps,

Rusty
