Hi -

Just ran into the A2007 ACCDB database format for the first time (I'm using 2003 & 97). After an extensive search, have yet to find a solution to convert the new format to a previous MDB version (without using A2007). Any wisdom on this or is it a lost cause?

Best Wishes - Bob

Unfortunately Bob you will have to have someone with Access 2007 save it to a format you can read.

Thanks Bob L. -

That's what I was afraid of. From all the propaganda I've read, I'm extremely reluctant to incorporate any Office 2007 applications. Hmm, this could be a problem!

Thanks again - Bob A.

Sorry you've heard bad stuff as I've been running the thing since it came out and I haven't had problems with it.

Well, having heard it from you, I'm going to give it a shot. Perhaps I've confused Office 2007 with Vista, which I don't believe has gotten any good publicity.

Thanks for your input.

Have they worked out the incompatibility issues with moving to 2007? When I last looked, I was told that there was potential to break several of scripts written in Word, Outlook or Excel, and the difference in version can be painful, especially when there's a collections of documents/spreadsheets.

Is this no longer the case?
