Copy query

In the past, I can copy any existing query and paste as a copy so I can modify based on the old one for a new query. Suddenly I can copy the query but cannot paste into query group as the paste feature becomes grey (not available). What did I do causing paste feature disable? Thanks

What version of Access? I have tried this 2003 thru 2010 and have no problem? Perhaps running a Compact & repair will fix this issue?

I have done Compact & repair a couple of times without success. Very strange!

After many trials, I discovered that it only happened on the Access of my desktop pc but not on the Access of my notebook. Both are the same Access 2007. Any possible reasons to disable the copy/paste features on Access by mistake?

No there isn't... Is the one on your Desktop in a Trusted Location? Also, right mouse click on the file and make sure it is not Read Only which can sometime happening when moving from one machine to another.

Hi GinaWhipp, I do not understand "in a Trusted Location" and could you please explain it in detail. The file is not read only.
