Is there a way to make a list box show bolean values as a checked/unchecked visualization, instead of a yes/no? Thanks.

Well, ..... Pat is not exactly right, though it is rather ugly. There is a way for forms to do this but you have to be tricky about it. And trust me, it IS ugly. Not that "ugly" has ever stopped me before.

If you have a full-blown version of Office, then you have some Word True-Type fonts installed and available. I think the WingDings2 file gives you Checkmarks and X-Marks. Could be wrong about that, so look for any font file with "ding" as part of the name.

Build a very short, very narrow table to LOOK UP your Boolean values. Make two rows. Field 1 is either true or false. Use the CharacterMap accessory to find the characters you want to have displayed from whatever 'ding' font you have. Put the appropriate characters in each row for field 2.

When this is done, your table will look something like this

True, "p"
False, "q"

Or some other combination. Whatever character the CharacterMap says you need, that's what goes in the quotes. The ones I looked up used lower-case p and q, respectively.

Use the combo box to look up the value from your funky little table. For that combo box only, set it up so that the stored value is field 1 but the displayed value is column 2. The wizard will help you set it up to hide the "real" value, in this case, true or false. Then tailor the size of your box to show just the single character.

Then change the name of the font under the Format properties to Wingdings2 or whatever other font you choose. Set the font size to whatever it needs to be to just barely fill the resized combo box.

Promise me that you won't tell anyone I told you how to do that.

:D
