Does anyone know of a good guide, perhaps on the internet or you can just give me some tips or something, on reducing the file size of my database?

I'm about half way through making it, and I'm still tinkering around, but what was 13mb became 50mb and its now 130mb!? (and thats when Ive compacted it)

Theres no images, 8 tables, 20+ forms, 10+ queries, 10+ reports...

My raw data has onver 1300 entries, and theres definately more to come.

It's beginning to slow down start up and shut down of the database because theres so much going on.

I was considering using an external datasource for my customer data but that only caused complications! :(

Just curious - but how big is too big?

I believe single component file sizes limit are set to 2GB but I could be wrong a database will always "Grow" much more in developement obviously when deployed you compact/repair of course you can set this on close...

But its relative you may have embedded documents that take up space or have something "bloating" your DB the answer I suppose is how long is a piece of string = how long you cut it!

Sorry can't be of more help :(

typically while you are devoping, you import temporary files, have lots of "play" queries etc

compact and repair will bring the size down

splitting the data between front and back ends will also help
