not sure if i can do this,
the company i work for have a spreadsheet, which is updated daily.
however they have now asked me to import this data into access which i can do.
the problem i have however is that the spreadsheet shows daycodes and production figure
Daycodes is just something we use to identify each date.. eg 3001 would be 1st january, 2003.
when the spreadsheet updates it just adds the new data to the list of previous data.
so what happens we have 10 machines, running on daycode 3001 i get 10 output figures, but then on daycode 3002 the production figure are then added to the bottom of the list.
i have been importing this data and when i put it in a table it just keeps adding it in one continuos list, but by Friday i have 5 entries for each machines production figure from the monday, 4 for tuesday, etc......
does this make sence.......
i need to be able to simply de;lete the data that is there and update it with the new records
