Displaying data Horizontally

Hello,

My problem may be quite simple for you. I have only one bound text field in my report. By default, it shows the results (150 records ) vertically. I wish to show them horizontally, 5 in a row.

Please help me how to do this.

One option is using the Columns option in Page Setup.

I tried. Still it shows fields from top to bottom, not left to right. I changed number of columns to 4, row spacing 1", Column spacing 0.25", Column size 1", layout Across, then down.

Please let me know where I am making mistake.

I'm not at a computer but that sounds about right. Try opening in Preview mode if you were using Report view.

It will show you the fields exactly as you put them on report. If you put them one on top the other this is ho we they will be in your report.
The column option will apply only for records, not for fields.

Just to check - you are looking at the report in print preview? Report view does not use the columns.

You can change the default view to print preview in report properties - default view
