Emptying a database aftre completeing and testing the application

what is the best way to do it without harming anything.

is it also possible to reset autonumbers

I assume you are trying to empty the conents of the tables.

CurrentDb.Execute "DELETE * FROM your_table_name;"

That keeps the table structure intact but removes all the data. To reset the autonumber, perform a compact/repair on the DB after you're done deleting all the records you want to delete.

Easier.

Go direct to tables particularly those where the PK is the 1 on 1:M Relationships

Highlight all records and press delete key

Dumps all records in that table and those down stream of the relationship
