I am building an Access database that involves collecting data from many remote volunteers, most of whom do not have Access on their pcs. Can they use WORD or EXCEL or anything else to input their data and then send it to me via email? Would the web based Nubuilder that I just saw advertized here do the job? I'd welcome your suggestions. ...wdc

they can use excel, send you a csv, and ypu can import the csv's

not too hard, if you know what you are doing

just tell them what columns they need, the order they need to be in, and the data they should contain

eg - if its a date column, you dont want text in there - and thats the problem with using excel - you cant manage/control the data as easily

gemma: That sounds good. Thank you.

Send them an Excel file and have 3 or 4 rows of data already added and that makes it clearer for them.

don't use word ...........
stick to spreadsheet - set the fields up you want - and send out - pick a version of xls that is old -ish (say 2000) thne they will all be able to use it -
