I am trying to recover a db from another computer (dead) image the file system and pulled the db files from the image. Loaded the data on to another computer, when I try to access the data I get the following error:
Record(s) cannot be read; no permission on MSysAccessStorage

What permissions is it asking for? Am I going about this in the right way?
I am a forensic analyst not a Access user.
Thanks

sounds like you have a corruption so you need to compact the db or copy the tables to a new db

here are some links to other users who have experience the same issue

If the db has a form that starts automatically, try holding down the shift key before opening the db, this will normally bypass the form being opened

Many thanks for your response. Tried all the fixes but unfortunately non worked. Looks like the db is totally hosed. do you know of anyone that specializes in recovering hosed db?
