I have a pivot table where the columns run in alphbetical order left to right. ABC, ABD, ABE. My legend to the graph however shows these as
ABE
ABD
ABC

Is there a way to change the legend to shows as
ABC
ABD
ABE
without reversing the columns on the pivot table?
thank you in advance

strange.
so if you
open the 'pivotchart filter pane' (from the 'analyze' dropdown menu), and then
go to the 'legend fields (series)' and
sort a to z,
wouldn't it solve the problem?

lemo,
i can get this far
open the 'pivotchart filter pane' (from the 'analyze' dropdown menu), and then go to the 'legend fields (series)
but there is no sort A-Z option and nothing seems to be avilalable for me to click in the legend field series

even stranger. excel'07 charting is annoying..
in my chart, after i go to the 'legend fields (series)', next to the name of that series, there is a filter square - gray, with tiny arrow in the middle - which, if you click on it, will produce a sort/filter menu.
the only other option i can think of would be to create another table which would refer to the pivot table, and base your chart on that new table. then of course you can move your series up and down in the 'select data' option.
