In an effort to be as cool as some of the other members here, I thought I would post a picture of my dog Massimo. We found him on the side of the road when he was barely weaned from the teat and the vet calculated his age to be approx 2 months so we officially made his birthday April 1st, 2014. He was born in Naples so we gave him a popular Napolitano name.

The locals fear him because he has taken a chunk out of a would be thief's buttocks (a real good time with the local authorities on that one!) - and the fact that he growls and barks at anything that moves from beyond our wall.

But once you get within the fortress and he gets assured from me that you are allowed and pose no threat, he is just a big teddy-bear.

I am not about to change my name to MassimoDog or MassimoCane. You guys are stuck with what I came with.

No such thing as an ugly pup! It's called *a face only a mommy could love*!

And love it she did! I got a good whack on the head everytime I called him ugly...

LOL. I can't imagine who this thread is aimed at ..... ::cool:

Anyway take care or I'll publish our PM exchange about fragile male egos.:)

He certainly looks an impressive beast now.
I think Massimo Mutt would make a great name for you or just M&M for short!

That is NOT an ugly pup. Now a shar pei pup? There we are verging on totally ugly.

What a great looking dog. Majestic almost. Thanks for the post.

Just be glad he's not a water dog. Should have named mine "Puddles"

My wife spends ages looking at puppy photos on the internet. She calls it doggie-porn.

This thread seems to have migrated towards that. She can join AWF and be happy!

No, just the dumb one is mine.
Never misses any body of water no matter how shallow it may be.
The malamute is one of her buddies from Wolf Pack Wednesdays where a big group of dogs go hiking in the woods up the mountain.

Once had a Chesapeake who was the same way. The dirtier the water the better. Luckily for me, my truck had vinyl seats!

It has been ages since I've had a dog. Because of my wife's dander allergies, I won't be getting one. I now have to live vicariously through my friends and family who have dogs.

I'm afraid all I have are cats who are always trying to eat plastic bags.

No dogs here. Part of that, I'm sure, is that some big black beast of a dog tried to eat me when I was in kindergarten. I remember spending a week at home and my left leg being massively bandaged up, but I don't remember anything about the attack or the ER visit afterward. Needless to say, I'm not what you'd call comfortable around large dogs, especially ones with significant black in their coats.

The one Frothy posted??!? Gina has been hitting the sauce a little early today...!
