Hi,

How do I format data in my report to display with a dollar sign?

I am using the following format $#,##0.00;($#,##0.00), but somehow I get a Format$ paramater to enter value.

Thanks

df

Not being a wise guy here but if you look up the Access 'help' on this function you'll see the proper syntax for it's use...

(Teach a man to fish,... :))

I don't understand Ken's reply, I did not think that df was using a function but was entering a format in the format properties for the control on the report, I assume his normal currency is not the dollar, well what df entered should work, just tried it and it does for me.

My apologies. I thought he was using the format function. I'll shut up and crawl back into my hole - :(

No problems. I am just happy to know that you've tried to help.

Just curious - Did you get it working?

Hi Ken, just back from having my evening meal, I wasn't trying to be clever , just puzzled, but isn't it annoying when you don't get feed back, I redesigned a guys DB the other day , and never got another post back, and he'd PM'd me originally!!

Oh that's cool - I know you better than that and I should have been a bit more diligent with my initial reply- :0

Maybe he'll peek back in and tell us how it went.

What'd you have for dinner?
