Hello,
I am a retired Oceanographer (hence the screen name) with 15 years of experience as a program manager. Interests include wood working, gardening and dabbling in program management activities. The last time I coded was in 1987 using Fortran77.
Based on frustrations with the lack of practical tools available for Program Managers, I have developed several ideas for management applications. I pitched them to other PM's and Business Development managers and received very positive feedback. I want to keep my mind active and continue to learn new things, hence learning to program in MS Access.
My learning approach has been to read about Access, watch on-line videos and then trial and error. I learn best through hands-on effort. Once I get comfortable with the basics and am able to articulate questions, I will invest in a formal classroom course.
Best regards,
Oceano79
