OH, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee. Trump is not a fascist just because you say he is. You make these statements as if they are facts when they are opinions. You don't like his EO's? I didn't like Biden's EO's so he must have been a fascist by your logic.

You don't listen to your own people when they say things similar to what Trump says. The talking heads on Newsmax play montages all the time of what Democrats said before they changed their minds about every subject under the sun because they could never be on the same side of any issue that Trump is on. That makes you a hypocrite. Dems were against illegal immigration before they were for it. They were against abortion before they were for it. They were for law & order before they thought blacks couldn't be criminals. The list is enormous.

All REALLY strictly devout followers of Jesus would be either socialist or communist. Jesus was an Essene, which means he was a member of a sect that believed in a very strict vow of poverty, giving all they had to others because to them it was wrong to accumulate wealth. That is at least a hard line socialist viewpoint. The communist part... open to interpretation.

Popes DO accumulate wealth in the form of art and highly decorated buildings with elegant furnishings. Which tends to make them either hypocrites or con men. But of course, you knew I was atheist and not in favor of organized churches anyway.

I found it interesting they were from a JAIL, not a prison - I'm assuming their sentences were commensurately not super long, maybe a DUI here, an assault there - and <1 yr sentences, an interesting context to decide to perform an escape, I think. Lifers in prison I can obviously understand, but

No, if I understood the news article correctly, they were all being held - either without bond or they hadn't posted bond yet. They were being held for trial, i.e. remanded into custody pending trial.

They hold people pre-trial in jails, not prisons, so their charges could be anything, even murder.

In fact, at least two of the escapees were being held for 2nd-degree murder. Others were for assault with a deadly weapon or assault and battery. One was up for committing a crime with a firearm AND being a felon in possession of a firearm plus a couple of other aggravating circumstances.

You left off the part where Pat falsely claimed the Pope ran people away from Catholicism. Very little of what she says is defensible, not really sure why you do that.
As you said, you and I spar, but she has no respect for anyone outside the worship she offers to Trump. I know you see that.
She had no business attacking the Pope, he was particularly great man and a good person.

Except that Jesus wanted folks to follow his example. ALL folks, He wanted rich people to give to the poor. He wanted people to follow his lead/ And, for the record, Roman government wasn't big on subsidies for the poor.

Matt 19:21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

I am a Catholic. My family is Catholic. Many of my friends are Catholic. Not a single person I know approved of Francis, Catholic or not. Going back to the absolute beginning when he refused to stay in the Pope's quarters in the Vatican and insisted on a basic motel. Apparently the world revolved around him. He could have asked for the ornate decor to be removed. They could easily have built a box within the bed chamber and left it as unpainted wood and given him a mat on the floor and a pot in the corner so he wouldn't have to use the ornate bathroom. And it went downhill from there.
