To all of the members in every time zone we have, I would like to wish you a happy new year. May 2026 provide you with good luck and success in your various endeavors - even the sneaky ones! Just for snorts and giggles, if you happen to want to answer this, tell us your city and time zone.
I'm from suburban New Orleans, time zone Greenwich + 6, also called USA's Central Standard Time. Tonight, our weather is in the mid-50's, clear, and light winds. As I write this, the fireworks crowd in our neighborhood is already busy.
Here, we don't have a "ball drop" for midnight, we have an illuminated fleur-de-lis to honor our French heritage and the Saints football team. The city doesn't usually have much of a curfew but tonight the chilly weather might make a few folks head for an indoor venue to liberally apply some internal anti-freeze.
