Hello

Sorry it’s me again with another ridiculous problem. I’m still on my purchase order database and now it turns out that on my Purchase Order Form when I hit the print or email buttons, I lose all the information in the header (Company name, logo and words ‘Purchase Order’) and footer (ie the Company address and delivery instructions etc). When working in Form View it is all in place lovely, but as soon as I send it to print or attached it to an email, I lose the header and the footer and to top it off, I end up with half the next one on the same page. Does anyone know why this is? I’ve tried to insert page breaks but that doesn’t work! This is such a simple thing, but it’s driving me insane! Any help would be much appreciated.

The problem might be trying to mail or attach a Form instead of a report. Forms are not really designed for print... Reports are.

OK, but how do i convert my form into a report? The form is made up of two tables and one query and the wizard isn't allowing me to add all of them together.

pardon me for jumping in here ...

You can open a form is fesign view and the save as a report.

Hope this helps ...

not 100% sure, as access keeps changing, but note also that an attachment to an email USED to be only avaialble in lossy formats such as RTF, which lost graphic characters.

Access THEN provided snapshot (.snp), and finally provided PDF (.pdf) options - so you may find unless you use on of these, your attachment wont look so good anyway.

When you change a form into a report, only things which appear in the Detail Section of your form are going to be included. This is logical because the other sections normally hold things like labels (in Headers) and summaries of data done from calculations (in Footers) and don't normally hold data contained in tables.

I think the snp and pdf route is going to be out also, because I believe they both require reports as well.

The bottom line here, I think, is as CEH has said, you've got to create a report for this. You can then include whatever you have in your Header/Footer.
