Why is it when i move my whole database the user name and password features no longer work ?????

Are you using the MS Access security stuff where you have to go in assign rights, etc?

be very cautious that you know exactly what you are doing when using the access user level security.

check out here for a thorough guide how to implement the security features in access

yea im using the mc access security stuff...

and i no how to assign rights ive done it with my company with 100's of users and 100's of groups of god knowns how many bits of data and folder all with there own unique users...however thank you for your concern

im jst new to access and wondered why it wont copy its like the security is stored one place while the data base is in a different place it didnt make sence to me

however it only has two users and admin and a user (no im not getting them confused with the defualt groups thats what there called aswell )

but ill copy it to the works shared drive then rebuild the user rights for now i jst wondered why it didnt copy them with the data base????
