Hi,
I have searched for unrecognized format in these forums and can't really find the definitive answer to my problem.
I have a database on my work system which runs fine. Whenever the system makes an update to Access 2003, however small the update is, when I attempt to open the database it gives the unrecognized format error.
Now, I know that to get it to recognize it all the user has to do is open Access 2003 program and let it update on the users profile and then try and open the database.
The problem I have is that my users are not privvy to this fix infomation and immediately think to call an Administrator. I am the administrator and cannot be around 24/7 and indeed when I leave the company etc etc. So is there an automatic fix for this i.e. a check that can be carried out programatically prior to opening the file, (as I ask this question I am starting to think that the answer would be NO but you never know), or am I doomed to eternity?
Thanks
