Hello guys, A company has 3 locations to store its products, say A, B and C.
e.g. there is a product xyz in following locations as per follow:
Location A:10
Location B: 10
Location C: 10
QTYAvailabe: 30
My order details subform is as per follows:
ProductID Location QTY UnitCost Discount Total Status
In this design I could either control qty in each location or backorders as a total.
e.g. A customer order for 12 no of the same product xyz and we have 30 no of the same product in the company, 10 in each location
If I give a validation rule on qty field as per the location to limit the user from given greater value than the qty in the location. In this way I could control qty in each location but there wont b any chance for backorders.
If I remove the validation rule on qty then I could control backorders but not qty in each location.
Please help me,, I am ready to change the design as well.. thanks in advance
