I'm not building a snowman this year.....

That's crazy! and I saw pictures of snow on the Galveston TX beaches.

Our local station relayed some pix of snow on a Gulf of Mexico beach near Talahassee, Florida. Ain't supposed to snow there, either.

UPDATE: Wife tells me that when she and her 1st husband bought it, it was listed as "English Tudor" style. Of course, our UK friends will know better than we will whether it actually conforms to that style - if there even IS such a style of that name in England.
Not to my knowledge, they are usually referred to as a half timbered building. Newer houses aren't, just a decorative effect.
But I do tend to agree with Uncle, as it does have the look of those you see in France.

just a decorative effect.

Those brown cross-pieces are decorative only. I know because we had work done on the ones in the back. I watched them get replaced. After 40 years, some of them had become a slight bit warped. I would like to say that they reflect Linda's Cajun heritage, but so far as I know, the house was built by a developer who didn't know squat about French residential architecture. He just assigned model names to the houses he built.
