Hello,

I would like to make my database a bit more attractive for the end users.

Is there a correct way of using images in ms access?

Witch resolution should I use?

I currently have the following problem: when I insert a image in a form, the image is displayed correctly on some monitors. But on monitors with a higher resolution, the images are small.

(There is one user working on a mac retina (using parallels)).

If I change the properties to 'fit' then the image is blurry on some monitors.

The size of my front end is also growing.

Is it possible to use patterns or something in access, like with css?

Or am I just going in the wrong direction with this?

Thank you for reading this :)

PS: I'm using Access 2007.

Hello,

I would like to make my database a bit more attractive for the end users.
Have you asked them if they want that - maybe you find it attractive they not?
Be aware of, pictures on forms/report slow down the loading speed and can give screen flickers - by loading and form requeries.
I currently have the following problem: when I insert a image in a form, the image is displayed correctly on some monitors. But on monitors with a higher resolution, the images are small.
Then the other things is smaller too, aren't they (forms, report etc.)?
...
The size of my front end is also growing.
It is normally behaviour, the more you create or store, the more the database will grow! :)

JHB asked the right questions. To summarize: "I am planning to do X. Does X add value for the users? If so, at what cost?"

Hello,

Thank you for your replies.
Yes, my boss would like to have the logo of the company on each form.
Reading this, I think we will just stick with the old appearance :)
