Please look a tthe attached .jpg file
This is a screen shot when, in form design view, I click Insert, Active X control.

Please notice the two Microsoft Mapi controls.

These two controls are only avialable AFTER I install VB6 on my PC. They are not avialable on a standard Access 2000 installation without VB6 installed.

How can I install these two controls without installing VB6?

Many thanks

If you find out which vb6 library they are in you could try to copy the library to the system32 folder and adding them in by adding references through the VBA reference library dialog in the VBA editor (use browse). May work but not sure how whether there are controls on how these are added to the windows registry but if VBA can register them then I am pretty sure that they will work from active X control window in access

I have added the reference to Mapi32.ocx through the VBA reference library dialog in the VBA editor, but this does not help. I am also worried about Windows version control! The version of Mapi that I have is from VB6. I am using Windows 7

Let me try something else!

How can I send E-mail from Access 2010 that automatically puts a copy of the e-mail in my e-mail client "Sent" folder. I use Thunderbird as my e-mail client

I know how to use CDO, but this will not put a copy of the e-mail in my e-mail client "Sent" folder. Or, I simply do not know how to do it!

Sorry, I don't have a clue how to create thunderbird objects in VBA
