Hello everyone,

My name is Sean. I currently work as a Housing Clerk for my First Nation community. I’m responsible for many day-to-day operations, including issuing work orders, ordering materials, coordinating contractors, managing projects and funding allocations, as well as budgeting and reporting.

Prior to me starting in this role in 2023, many operations were handled exclusively through Excel spreadsheets. I took it upon myself to begin developing a database to better support our workflow. Over the past few years, it’s been a rewarding learning experience working with Microsoft Access, and I’ve really come to appreciate how quickly simple and effective solutions can be deployed for our office.

I’ve joined this forum to learn best practices, ask informed questions, and contribute where I can. I’m looking forward to learning from others who work with Access in real-world, production settings.

Thank you/Miigwetch,
- Sean
