hi everyone
i wanna make database for inventory , when i think of it its so easy but when it comes to practice it became complicated don't know why ,,,,
the easy idea is;
"in inventory i have material i wanna know how many left in inventory and
who take the material and when he took it" himmmm is this is hard to do??? so guys it will so appreciate if u give me some idea how to do it or which type i should use it [query, table relation,,,,,]

Inventory is not easy. Table design is key and must match your business requirements.

and jdraw i was afraid of this what u said , yes it's its not easy :banghead:
but there is no option i have to do it so the best way is i chose is table and relation ,, so thanks a lot

Learn a little about normalization, naming conventions, and some kind of standard for development.

just for clarification - managing inventory quantity is not so hard. eg the MS sample I posted above does inventory quantity simply enough

it's managing inventory cost and valuation to acceptable accounting standards that's the hard bit. Very very complex, because the cost of the inventory items is generally not static, so the inventory consists of a certain number of items, where batches of the same items were bought for a different cost. So trying to manage the receipt and issue of goods in line with those batch quantities is what makes it so very difficult.
