I'm trying to decide if its worth making a database to get rid of paperwork and excel sheets for an annual leave database.
Currently it takes twenty minutes to do all the calculations and paperwork for each holiday. In fact its a nightmare, I spend more time colouring in annual leave calenders on paper than I do chatting up the office dolly birds. Something has to be done!
My vision is this. An employee gives me their required days off and I enter the dates into the db. I click "print report" and im given the dates and/or the number of days they have booked off and the number of days remaining.
To stop any arguing about past days they may have booked off, I'd like to be able to show past booked off days too.
So my question is this. Is this possible or should i stick to my colouring book and excel sheet?
Please help, my dolly birds need me, I see them pointing and laffing at me so I guess im onto a winner!
