Hi

I received the msg:

"Microsoft Office Access can't create any more controls on this form or report.
If you have deleted from this form or report in the past, you may be able to rename the form or report and then add more controls to it."

I tried:
- rename the form -- > same problem
- copy/paste the form --> for some reason it's not duplicating (don't know why)

Is there a limit to insert controls on a form?

I'm using Access 2003.

RuralGuy, thanks for your answer. The number of 754 really doesn't give you much margin to play... thanks again.

Cant say I have ever run into that limit :/

What sort of form have you designed that needs that many controls? Maybe a picture would let us see what you are doing and then we could offer some suggestions.

I'm planning a planner... and I'm trying to do a lot of things in same space... as you can see in the first JPG.

Each piece of information (number of days, yellow rectangles, small green rectangles, matrix, name of days, etc) I have drawn everything.
My goal was to make a planner (kind of Microsoft Project) of my missions and have a perspective of my occupied time for planning future missions.

The result is on the second JPG (a little example).

An initial suggestion which will cut the number of controls by a factor of about 12 is to have one 'row' per month.

Depending on how your data is structured (I would assume a table with 365/6 records with a date, an action and/or a status) you would use a cross tab to create your rows -so 35 columns=circa 70 controls for the form.

The form would be continous and display 12 rows

I would draw it in a Excel sheet, there you are not limit in the same way as in MS-Access.
Max columns in EXCEL 2003 and earlier are 256, column = "IV"
