Hi All

Does anyone have any experince in using Logility?

If so does anyone have experince of linking Access to Logility tables?

My guess is you will need to have the folks that support the app contact the vendor and see if they can provide ODBC connections. Also, I would doubt they would not be very keen on allow connection to production tables which means someone would have to set up a data warehouse, etc...

I agree with Ken. Better to contact the vendor directly with specific questions than to get info from the readers here. Don't get me wrong, if there are readers using the product, they could/should have operational experience that could be helpful. But the vendor's technical staff will have the latest technical answers and any future development that is planned/in the works.

Also I would really be hesitant to give a general user access to any operational tables. If you need access to data, I can see a Point-In-Time database (and have built same) which is a series of data from month end, quarter end etc - read only - and appropriate for analysis.

... or if they would allow, you could do a once a day pull to a shared db that could be hit by other users. Your own datawarehouse...
