how do i create a login form with a username and password that authenticate a user to open other forms.

This type of question will not receive much support. Many posts exist on this subject already. Also what steps have you taken to create one yourself. Also you need to let us know what version of access your are using and you Access skills level.

use Access workgroup security. search the forum as countless pages have been written about this subject

Access workgroup security may be fine for experts like you "Dennisk" but I find it a real pain and have therefore written my own login systems (different ones depending on network systems).
