Lost everything while converting between 2010 and 2007. PLEASE help!!!

Hi Guys,

I'm in pretty desperate need of some help right now! I am a complete Access "noob" but I was tasked with creating a one-to-one relational database for a client. With the help of "Access for Dummies" I have taught myself and built what I thought was a pretty snazzy database in Access 2010. Then it turns out the client has Access 2007.

So, I tried to convert it into 2007, by following this link:

given to me by my Mum. I followed the middle set of instructions and saved it in 2007 format but then everything fell apart. All my relationships and queries were gone, all the data was either in the wrong place or missing, all the fields were text - even if that makes sense - so I shut it and opened it again and pretty much only the table names were left?! I have no idea how this happened, and while I have bits and pieces of data in tester databases (as I said complete newbie!) but I don't have all the data in one place and no time to rebuild.

Does anyone know why this might have happened? Or where it's all gone?!

it's obviously a bit late to say this, but you need to take frequent backup copies to ensure you have a "safe" version available after such a catastrophe.

you don't need anything external to change a database format. The tools are all in Access anyway.

I'm sure you may have done these steps already but putting them out there anyways:

You don't have a backup of it anywhere? Even on the clients machine? What about your recycle bin. Check your recycle bin for any previous versions you may have had. Have you done a search on your development machine for any previous versions. Perhaps something got saved or archived somewhere. Search your entire computer for any *.accdb prefixed files. This may help you.
