Not only is it Friday the 13th here, but it is also a full Moon! Yeah!!


I absolutely love Friday the 13th. Never an unlucky day for me. Is there anyone here superstitious about it?

Ho ho I suppose you think that's funny about me spilling my tea this morning huh Anyway I don't believe that had anything to do with the date, just me doing what I do best......

I'm not really superstitous about it although both my fiance and my dad lost their brothers on this very date (Jan Fri 13th) although both different years. If something is going to happen to you it will happen regardless of what day it is.

Absolutly. But hey what are friends for, but to exploit your mishaps.

If something is going to happen to you it will happen regardless of what day it is.

Very true, but there are some that are so superstitious, this day is a nigthmare for them.

Full moon on this special day, eh? Sounds ripe for some witchy rituals

The number 13 crept up in my first three jobs. My first job was at a fast food joint (Wendy's); there were maybe 40 employees and I was "randomly" assigned employee #13. My second job was at Walgreen's and I was assigned employee locker #13. My third job was in a very small corporate office; 12 other people worked there, I made it 13.

So I actually consider the number lucky. It's helped me get money Besides, "It's bad luck to be superstitious."

It's Friday the 13th with a full moon (the natural type, not Rich's salute to the US). I'm feeling strange...my skin is tighting, my clothes begin to stretch. My fingers are lengthening with my nails morphing to claws. The pain grows exponentially as my body is wracked with emotive changes ... OMG ... the mirror shows a new me ... the WereGeek! Um I smell meat...I think I'll take a bite outta crime.

Have you ever thought about the Fact that there is no seat '13' in every Plane? from '12' it skips to '14'. Only that gives many of us a feeling of superstition about this day.

i didn't realise that plane companies did that....thinking back, i've never sat in row 13 so possibly it is true! next time i'm on a plane i'll have a closer look.

Oh...OK then. Sorry for the faux pas

Some friends and I went out to a bar to see some local bands play and had a great time. One friend had a little too much fun. Liquid fun that is. The kind that returns a half-hour later as chunky liquid un-fun. When he was stable, we loaded him onto the L (the tubes, mates ) and headed downtown (where I live) so they could switch lines and head home (way up north). I promised to stay with my friend that night to make sure he was OK, so he gave me his keys. When we got downtown, he desperately needed water so the group agreed that I'd run up to the store and meet them at the transfer station. When I returned, they were gone. After about 20 minutes of frantic searching, I concluded that they must have gotten on the other train, but I had no way to contact them since we were all underground. So I went home and got a call when they emerged, and I had to go back and meet them to return my friend's keys. Blech. What a night. Everything else was fun, though, especially when we were making fun of the Goth-chick band's lyrics. My shining moment was when I changed "I want my innocence back! I want my innocence back!" to "I want my innocence back! I want my hymen intact!"

Hey, I resemeble that remark. I use to be a goth chick..Heheh..but I was goth before it was cool. Back in the early 90's.
