Hi, I'm a new member, my real name is Ray Higginbotham and I live in the UK. I have used Access on and off for over 20 years; was first introduced to it in the workplace and took an immediate liking to it. I would class my abilities/knowledge in it as at best intermediate. I have set up several databases for personal use and like to use VBA as much as possible. Hobbies apart from Access: walking, gardening and - probably an unusual one this: collecting sub-titles from TV programmes. This started in July 2024 when I had a bad ear infection which left me temporarily deaf in the left ear. This led me to start looking at the sub-titles. However, I soon noticed that there were quite a few mistakes in the sub-titles as compared with the correct version. Some of the mistakes were a bit outlandish; some were quite amusing. I did wonder whether to post a couple of examples here but wasn't sure whether this might infringe copyright laws so decided against it.
