I have a db which causes the computer to halt. Probably because of memory problems.

I have recieved som help on this subject before, and I have made a few adjustments. However they were not enough.

The problem is getting more and more annoying.

This is my question:

If I build the db in VB, will it unload itself properly from the memory. Is VB better than Access?

I'd use a VB frontend with an Access backend. Also don't use Data Controls but use DAO/ADO instead you get far greater control over the connections to the backend and therefore are only using the Access backend when you have to.
