Just in case anyone doesn't have good weather where they are. I thought I would share...

We've had 5 continuous days of British summer weather. Not too hot, not too cold, just nice!

From the impression I have gotten, I'm jealous about England's weather. I actually appreciate cloudy weather quite a bit, and like a good mix. It seems like in England you can wear a sweater or sweatshirt during a large percentage of the year, which is perfect to me. I like the consistency and relatively small 'range' of temperatures.

Wondering where that came from?!? I remember being over there for the first time, Portsmouth I believe it was, at the beginning of July (nothing like a cheeky "Happy Independence Day" from a Brit!). It was a chilly 65 degrees (F) and the locals were thanking us Yanks for bringing the "bracing" weather. I was freezing to death! The sun was shining though so there was that.

Got my first taste of Strong Bow and a quick lesson in gravity after my 4th pint...

Maybe after spending about 16 years in the desert I am ready for rain.

Of course everything is relative. But whenever I hear people claiming the 60's is "cold" and the 80's is "hot", I know I'm dealing with the "small range" I yearn for. Growing up we had 20 below zero (F) in Wisconsin, and now we have 120 above zero (F) in Arizona. I doubt England suffers with either of those

In suburban New Orleans (west side), today was on/off rain in no more than moderate amounts. Definitely no gulley-washers or frog-stranglers. (If you don't understand country vernacular, those are rural terms for hard rain.)

Yep, for sure. I did experience weather moderation for one year, once: San Diego. But it wasn't "moderate" on the pocketbook and being young and adventurous I swapped it for Arizona. Got used to it and settled in for the long haul. You give up a certain amount of natural beauty (sorry, Arizona, and yes I know there is some amount of 'desert beauty'...) - for tons of other conveniences, easy place to live overall.

The wife tells me Tennesse has all four seasons, can't wait to go in the fall.

The summer heat has returned to Central Valley California. Several days above 100 (Fahrenheit) already. Supposed to get a break in the temperatures next week.

Ok, which ever one of you cursed me for gloating about the sunshine...I'm sorry!

Now knock it off and bring the sun back...

And don't give me grief about the dirty sill...

Awww, man ... I like the rainy picture even better than the first. Dang it, my mind is twisted from the heat. That's beautiful! We'll take some of your rain and give you some "hard sunshine" :p

And I think almost everyone's window sills are dirty, although it might be in the category of things we wipe before mother in law comes to visit, can't remember.
