Hey all,

I have a database that I have posted on a network folder to be shared. I set all my permissions, however, other PCs are automatically logging in as the default admin unless I recreate the permissions locally. How can I stop this?

copy the mdw file to the server, and set a shortcut to the database on peoples computers that look at this file
e.g
"C:\PROGRAM\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "Database Path\database.mdb" /wrkgrp "MDW Path\security.mdw"

OK, when I create the shortcut do I put it all in one spot or do I put part in the "Start-in" field? My address for the database is \\Glidalnt06\field\MD OPS\GM SPO\Container Database.mdb" and for the mdw file is \\Glidalnt06\field\MD OPS\GM SPO\System.mdw"
so what exactly should I type in the fields?

you need to put it in the target field in the shortcut, so it should look something like this
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "\\Glidalnt06\field\MD OPS\GM SPO\Container Database.mdb" /wrkgrp "\\Glidalnt06\field\MD OPS\GM SPO\System.mdw"

I have C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\ in the start in part
