Just finished accepting a new job. I will still be developing but will not be a contractor anymore, but an employee. It looks to be a great opportunity and a way to also learn other technologies such as C#.NET and ASP.NET.

You can check out the company here: http://www.advisicon.com

I start on Monday, although I've already done a little contract work for them over the last couple of days.

Just thought I'd share. My time on the board may be diminished for a while as I get acclimated to the new job. But, I'll still try to keep up with the spammers. Just remember to report any spam that shows up so SJ, Pat, or I can deal with it.

Thought you just had a new one?

That was just a 3-6 month contract (starting last July) which has pretty much come to an end, so this one is now not a contract position again but a regular permanent (as permanent as anything can be anymore) position.

Is the money any good, relatively speaking?

Decent with good benefits and after a certain level of achievement occurs my pay will be revised upwards (got that one in writing with specific performance goals).

Nope, didn't get that one. Am staying in Portland. And, the job is actually fairly close by, for a change.
