Hello Access World,

I am new to the forum. I was a full-time MS Access and VBA programmer in a previous life. I cut my teeth on Access 2.0 and Ken Getz. I moved on to other endeavors after this roughly fifteen-year period. I still get the urge to try new ideas out once in a while although I don't make my living this way anymore.

In an earlier life, I wasn't a piano-player but I WAS an organist. At the time (late 1960s), my stage instrument was a Hammond B3 with a Leslie cabinet. I don't recall the model number of the Leslie but it was tall - and loud.

In an earlier life, I wasn't a piano-player but I WAS an organist. At the time (late 1960s), my stage instrument was a Hammond B3 with a Leslie cabinet. I don't recall the model number of the Leslie but it was tall - and loud.

Anything you ever did with the organ is way beyond anything I've ever done with a piano. You see, I don't know how to play the piano. The reason for the nickname is I love Harry Truman's famous quote,

“My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference.”

As such, I aspired to become a piano player in a whorehouse since politics was out (I hate the nasty business). Unfortunately, I never learned to play the piano either. So, I became an Access programmer.

I learned to play by myself, and even accompanied a fellow student in her singing debut in college. but I wouldn't say I know how to play exactly.
