Hi from Canada!

Started way back when mainframes, punch cards, and machine code were all there was. Worked through Assembler, COBOL/Fortran, PL1, Algol, some C, a lot of goofy stuff that no longer exists, dBase, Fox, FoxPro (first time with OOP), and now Access. Don't do anything commercial but build apps for friends and relatives when asked.

Hi. Welcome to AWF!

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I remember punched-card technology. Card chaff was insidious.

I think it was the IBM 029 cardpunch. My issue was forgetting to turn on the printing of card numbering and then dropping a box of a 5000 card program. There was no way to sort them back in order. After 3 episodes I learned.
