After about a week of trolling your forums, I finally decided to register. I am sure noone cares but I thought I would jump in and introduce myself real quick seeing as I learn more and more about Access I just seem to have more questions.

Anyway my name is Nate and I and active duty contract administrator for the US Air Force. I was recently stationed in Guam and noticed an ongoing problem in my new squadron....lack of any sort of contract tracking.

This is what brought me to Access and the idea to creating a database to track contract progress ad the goings on for my office. In total I have about a weeks worth of experience in Access but I like to think I am comming along quickly. My hope is to create a useful system to assist my squadron and learn something new in the process.

Thanks for all the usefull info thus far!!

Welcome Nate! My daughter is in the AF, currently stationed at Mildenhall in the UK.

Get off quick before Colin finds out ur in the US Air Force... !

Nothing wrong with the US air force - except their ability to distinguish between allies and enemy.

However, we must welcome our cousins from the USA, even if they can't read a map or spell properly.

ps - Is "Nate" a real name in the USA?

Yea, sorry about the spelling. I will be sure to spell check my posts in the future.

Nate is short for Nathan or Nathaniel. Pretty common name as far as I know.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I spent about 4 hours staring at Access last night and am more determined than ever to get this all working correctly. Cross your fingers for me!

Welcome! I've trolled around tons myself, you'll find a lot of helpful information on this site, it is what keeps me coming back.

Well so far all I have learned is that I have absolutely no clue what I am doing. Working on learning some VB scripting and hopefully that will get me a little closer to putting everything together.
