Hello all, my name is Topher.

What a great forum you have here , its already answered so many of my questions  and saved my new allbeit short career in the Financial Services :D. Well I guess in the introduction section you want to know about me:

I am a 26 year old guy living between London England and North Carolina. Until 4 months ago I was in the Royal Navy as an Air Engineer and now (party due to the onset of redundancy) I work in Financial Services.

Randomly I have been tasked with developing a number of databases (I think my bosses though Aeronautics and MS Access were in the same league...not half wrong there im discovering).

I am really enjoying learning new skills, but im still new to it all so coming across problems, and you guys are a great help.

:DSo thank you all!!

Welcome! Coincidentally, my daughter is in the US Air Force, previously stationed in North Carolina and currently in England, not far from London.

Indeed, I wish her all the best! Is she at RAF Northholt? I did things in reverse. Spent many a year working out of north carolina and Oceana airfield in Virginia. Its my time in the states that made me decide to leave the military. Im heading back to North Carolina soon. Although now im trying to turn into a database guru....i sense I have a long long long way to go.

No, she's at Mildenhall (husband is at Lakenheath). They live in Bury St Edmunds. Good luck in your new chosen career. Hopefully we can help you get going in the right direction.
