We are having a problem with our access app/database we have an Access95 front end on each client and an Access97 tables db. The clients are linked to the tables via table linking using the full server path to the tables. We used to be on a Novell NetWare network and the app ran well, since that time we have moved to an NT network. The NT server is powerfull but the app response is onaverage 700% slower. We have tried experiments and found that running the app from cytrix over NT runs really fast, but slow from the desktop and running the app from cytix over Novell runs fast (slower than NT here) and fast from a desktop.
The NT box also servers other things files etc... and there is no problem with response time. In fact it is faster to copy the whole tables.mdb with exporer than to query it using the app...!!!
Any ideas would be helpfull...please help.
