Hi,

I have one table in my access, and out of that I need to show a queri that will show only following resoult in 2 comolms
ID (same as original table)
SCHOOL_YEAR (all the students that are:
1 year and 1 year (repeat) as 1 year
2 year and 1 year (repeat) as 2 year
3 year and 1 year (repeat) as 3 year

Not to show dripouts, na and finished

Original table:
ID NAME
1 1 year
4 2 year
5 3 year
10 dropout
11 finished
12 n/a not categorized
13 1 year (repeat)
14 2 year (repeat)
15 3 year (repeat)

Any idea is this possible?

Thx

A criteria of Like "*year*" will find the records and Left(name,6) will select the data ignoring the (repeat)

Hi,

I do knot understan where dio I put like?

Thx

In the criteria row of the Name column, as you do not wish to show the Name column clear the show checkbox

In SQL the code will look

Select ID,left(Name,6) as selectednames
From mytable
Where Name Like "*repeat*"

selectednames is an alias of your choosing
