I wonder if anyone can give me any advice on the following...
I have a text box (txtIndustry) sitting on the form (Frm_NewCompany). Both the form and the text box run off the same query (Qry_Company), with the text box's control source being 'ALLIndustry'.
The idea is that a user will click on the command button (?) which brings up a sub form (SubFrm_Industry) - on this sub form is several check boxes for different industries. Once the user has ticked the relevant check boxes they then press the command button again (X) and the industry should appear in the text box (txtIndustry).
For some reason, once the user has chosen an industry the results are not showing in the text box. Whist the form is open I have check both the table and the query and it is saving the chosen industry in both - however, just not displaying the results in the text box?
I have tried adding a me.txtindustry.requery and a me.refresh on the 'on click' event of the command button but this is making no difference....
Does anyone have any other advice / ideas on what may be going on??
Note: the same text box also sits on Frm_Company (which is the form which will be used to 'view the data' once a new company has been added. The thing that is confusing me is that this is working fine - the text is displayed, and on changing the industry, the new text again appears as it should. It seems it is just not working on adding a NEW record....
