Remember when you used to compile your own music albums using casette-to-cassete machines!

Or just recording off of the radio, hoping the dj did not talk over the beginning or end of the song. :D

I remember getting in heck from my brother because I used some of his music casettes to store some of my BASIC programs I had written for my TimexSinclair!

Casettes? I still use my Teac X-2000R reel-to-reel!

I have a stack of punch cards with a PL/1 code for a college class (about the time Imsai 8080 came out).

I have AKAI M10 reel to reel. Its hard for me to listen the music that I recorded back in the day, it must have been some pretty good stuff..........phew. I bought two of them when I was in Nam my first was the M9 and bought the M10 and ship it home.

I got the Teac when I was deployed on WestPac, that was a lifetime and another world ago. Picked it up in Yokosuka and like you shipped it home (no room for it on the sub). The Teac handled 7" and 10.5" reels. With the 10.5" reel, you could record up to 6 hours of music. There lies the problem, you had to record 6 hours of music which probably took 10 hours to record (had to wash each and every vinyl with the DiscWasher)!

The first computer I ever used was in the mid 90's. The earliest form of media i used were the large 5" floppys.

I cant wait till people are like "Remember when we use to use physical media, that stuff was lame and broke all the time"

The first computer I worked on was an Elliot 803B with Magnetic film backing store. That stuff was 35mm filmstock with magnetic oxide in stead of imulsion anf thos reels were heavy especially when you were changing them during a long sort.

I now compile most of my favorite music from vinyl to cd. My first "computer" was a Timex ???? without instructions. I never managed to figure it out.
