How do you get a reply tagged to a certain post, not just at the end of the thread?

I dont think there is a way of doing what you want useful as it would be. If your reply is relevant to a particular post then quote it in your reply.

You have to be the next person posting! (Glad you cleared up the gender issue too Dave!)

But it still puts your reply at the end of the thread. Not what Dave(Gemma) was asking for.

Not sure what you mean. How is it linked to the preceding post. I just see them in order of time posted. Is there another sort available?

I do know you can post a link to a certain post because if you look on the top right of each post there is a post number as a hyperlink. You can copy that link and paste it in and it will go to that specific post.

By George (I mean Banana) I think you are right. If you are in Threaded mode you will get one message at a time and if you reply it will reply to that message. If you are in Hybrid mode, if you select the button labeled QUICK REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE then you will be replying to that particular message (and possibly also if you use the QUOTE button).

I see - its the quote that does it

if you quote a reply, your post gets tagged to THAT reply

whereas I generally cut and paste, and put quote tags round it, which is different!

Yes, and you can manually add it by getting the post number:
