Report Length/ mixing Portrait landscape

I have 2 problems I would like some advise on:-

1. Is the maximum report length 55cm I have tired alsorts of ways to extend this length properties etc.. and pulling down the back ground but cannot get it to go past this size? If this is true I presume for my 17 page report I will have to create a number of reports and join them together?

2. My report has both Portrait and landscape pages, this being the case I have no option but to produce seperat reports and merge them together? however when a call to these reports is made will the preview show them as portrait /landscape and on subsequent printing will the printer recognise this ?

Any ideas please

Re 1)
a)Build your report as a set of sub reports, each of which is under its own final reportheading.
b) In the final sub-report, reduce the depth of each sub report to say 1 cm an dmark proporty as can grow
c) But with 17 pages, can you base the report on a more genral query?
