Hi All

Is there a way , by just having a start and end date I can calculate all the instances of a report over a period of time.

My manager wants to be able to see what reports are due on a certain day.

So if I have the Report Name, Frequency=daily weekdays, Rpt Start Date and Rpt End Date. Could I then run a report to produce all the dates on which that said report is due ?

Thank you in advance !

If your reports are daily reports and have been designed to produce figures for one day only then add a group in your report and select the date field. Tell it to start a a new group on a new page. Then request your report over a week (to test) and you should get an 8 page report. One for each day and one for the report summary, if you have one.

Thanks for the reply

Could you perhaps provide any example, as am a little unclear on what you mean. Also I have a variety of frequencies such as weekly and monthly !

i would create a table of reports due, based on the date range

i think you would have to do this by code

Code:
[something like this pseudocode would work]
clear the report data table

for each report in reportstable
  reportdate = startdate 'starting from startdate
  repeat
     nextreportdate=calculatereportdate(reportdate)
     if nextreportdate<enddate then save this report data in the table
     reportdate=nextreportdate+1 'go on 1 day
   until reportdate>enddate
next report
