Reset option groups if option is changed

If I can explain this so that you can understand it, then I'm one step closer to sanity!

I have a form which contains 5 option groups. In the second group if you choose culvert or repair, then you are done and may select a command button to generate what type of report you want. (the last three option groups are grayed out)

But it you choose bridge, the next three option groups are enabled and you must make selections from each before selecting a command button. This works really slick unless you change your mind after making selections in the last three groups. If you go back and change your selection to culvert or repair "the lights go out" on the last three groups and it looks like everything is fine, but in testing, I find that the reports are still being generated from the last three option groups whether they are activated or not.

Is there a way to "unselect" everything from the last three option groups if a user goes back and changes the second choice to something other than bridge?

Thanks a million!

Hi Rhonda

Any chance of a stripped down A97 copy of just those 5 option groups?

Doubt if we need much more than that.

Chris

I hope I did this right. You said a stripped down copy of A97 but I have 2000. I removed everything in this copy of the database but the form. If that's not what you wanted let me know.

Sorry this took so long, I've been out of the office.

Hi Rhonda

A2K has a facility to save the database in A97 format.

I don't know precisely where it is done but think it is Save As and then choose the format.

I found it in tools/database utilities/covert database/to prior access database version.

Thanks,
Rhonda
