I made an appointment wih a hemotoligist to have all my immagrant blood removed. She told me that would all of my blood, since my ancestors came from somewhere else. Bummer. But I deduced that since my ancesors came here in 1840 I was pure and watchout for the toxic new blood flowing into the country.

GADZOOKS!! I am more prue than the Donald.

In 1885, Donald Trump's grandfather, Friedrich Trump, emigrated from Kallstadt, Palatinate (then part of the Kingdom of Bavaria), to the United States at age 16. He anglicized his name to Frederick in 1892 when he became a U.S. citizen.

Trump says so. Said it yesterday.
Maybe you could post the actual quote from his speech regarding immigrants poisoning our blood. I can't wait to see what he really said. I listened to most of the speech and I didn't hear anything remotely resembling that. I'd be interested in how something he said got twisted into whatever you think it is. I'm pretty sure you were listening to the recap from Rachel Maddow or her ilk. I used to listen to her after every Trump speech. It never ceased to amaze me how she twisted his words into something else entirely.

OK, I found what he said and clearly it went over the heads of the Trump haters. This is going to replace "Charlottesville" as their new mantra. You have no clue what he actually meant because you hate this country and you hate Trump so you naturally assume the most evil interpretation you can imagine, which somehow only can ever go back to Hitler.

There's a word for this in Yiddish but it escapes me at the moment. It is used to refer to people who always assume the most evil interpretation of what others might consider innocuous or perhaps just unartful.

You do realize that two of Trumps wives are immigrants, right? And that means that FOUR of his five children have "mixed blood" if you want to think of it that way. His eldest daughter is also a Jew. Now that's a double whammy for those with TDS.

I don't hate anybody. I don't agree with Trumps views on things. Seems to me that you keep bringing up the hate thing. Does this mean that if you dissagree with someone you hate them. Thats not the way I think.

Merry Christmas

What exactly is it we're criticizing here?

In the context of a an hour of other things, Trump said something about immigrants poisoning our blood. So what?

Some people want American to stay essential European which is kind of where we came from and how we started out and although I don't necessarily agree with them...There's nothing particularly evil about wishing that. So he said it, so what??

After going to several other countries, I can tell you that many countries want to stay exactly the way they are. And if millions of people of another race we're pouring in, they wouldn't like it either. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to keep your country away it is.

I guarantee you Mexico wants to stay Mexican

I guarantee you Mexico wants to stay Mexican
And China wants to stay Chinese. And Japan wants to stay Japanese and Finland wants to stay Finish and Egypt does not even want to think about what would happen to it if it somehow got pushed into allowing the Palestinians from Gaza come in and settle in their country. I say, Israel should give Gaza back to Egypt and let them fix the problem.

It is only in America that you are called names and criticized for thinking that you want your country to remain your country. Do you think immigrants who come in legally and go through the process of becoming naturalized consider themselves to be "Americans" OF COURSE they do. That is the whole point. They commit and we accept them. We have been very good over the years of assimilating immigrants and making them into "Americans". It is only the left who slice and dice people into meaningless parts that don't think that blacks, regardless of when/how they got here don't think of themselves as Americans and even encourage this by calling them African-Americans. And the non-leftist among us, consider them every bit as American as anyone else born here (or who immigrated legally) and find it offensive when they think of themselves as anything other than "full blooded" Americans. Why deliberately make yourself "defferent"? Why is a "black" caucus OK but not a "white" one? Why is a "black" only graduation ceremony OK but not a white only one? This is the craziness that has to stop. It is dividing the country.

The points in time where we allowed too many people from any one place are the times when we had trouble assimilating newcomers. It takes a while to learn English and a while to get accustomed to how we do things here. First generation immigrants rarely lose their accents but their children are "full blooded" Americans. If you really think the "old country" is better, come for a vacation and then go home. Don't come here to suck of the teet of our welfare system. We can't absorb NINE MILLION people in a generation let alone in three years. This is destabilizing the country.

It is only in America where we are not allowed to have a secure border. It is only in America that we are not allowed to assimilate immigrants because that would be offensive to them. What is wrong with their "culture"? We must be bigots if we want them to fit in rather than to change us. Change does happen over time. We adopt good ideas but not all ideas are good ones and coming to this country with the intention of not fitting in is really offensive.

In France, they deliberately do not assimilate immigrants and look where that has gotten them.

You jumped right onto the hate Trump bandwagon with your remarks about "blood" because you completely missed his point and since you hate him, all you can see is evil orangeman Hitler. What does that say about you?

It's not a simple question of immigration, it's about our self-determination and sovereignty period full stop!

If you haven't noticed most of the so-called immigrants to the US and UK are young males of military age. These males do not share their new host countries values and they have no intention to assimilate for the most part.

I think we have to be careful here to not conflate immigrants with race. Immigrants can be any race, just like Americans. No doubt Democrats will want to blur the lines here to suggest that Trump is racist and wants some kind of Airian race, linking Trump to Hitler. But before they do that, they should take a look at their own anti-semitism record, which has a more direct connection to how Hitler perceived the world. It is rife within the Democrat party and its voters, just as it was in the UK Labour party, where they had a public review of the problem.

To me, it is clear that he is talking about criminals entering the US through illegal immigration. If you want to think he is talking about race, you are putting words into his mouth. How about Hillary Clinton who demonises half of Trump supporters, calling them "deplorables"? That is just like what the Nazi's did, victimising a group of people for what they believe in. Everything comes back to Hitler.

These are evil words that shouldn't come out of the mouth of a humanist, and anyone who is always so fond of God would have their tongue burnt.

What you probably want to say: The fulfillment of the American dream is not realistic for the existing Americans.

what is evil about a phrase that basically means tainting our culture and not assimilating?
God doesn't talk about American borders in the Bible, so I can't know on that.
And why you threatening me to burn my tongue? I think that's not appropriate on this forum

You can take the worst possible interpretation of what Trump says if it suits both your political agenda and preconceived belief of what Trump thinks. Yet he has repeatedly said in the past that when he talks about illegal immigrants being criminals, he is not saying they are all criminals, just that a higher percentage are. And that is a statistical fact. So, the Democrat politicians ignore that part and just take him out of context, repeatedly for years. Or in other words, they are deceiving their own voters through lying by omission.

As a side point, if you are an illegal immigrant, does that very act in and of itself make you a criminal? I mean you are deliberately breaking the law. Or is it considered a civil offence?

The context in which he talks about the blood of our country is regarding this criminal element. Yet, having read several left-leaning news outlets, some are omitting the comments regarding the criminal element and just citing the blood of our country line. Lying by omission again.

How about all the hate coming from the left towards innocent old white men, the patriarchy, non-gays, maga Republicans, that Russia collusion orange evil Hitler clone, Jews, and patriarchs? It is all very well trying to criminalise a former president with multiple lawsuits, and also trying to stop him from running for president via legal means, but what about Joe Biden who has a) been accused of ra**, b) tells a black man he ain't black, c) has suspicions of criminal influence peddling, d) Others can add to the list?

When Trump (or Kavanaugh) gets accused of ra**, they change the statute of limitations in New York so they can charge him. "We believe all women!" When Biden gets an accusation, its all "Follow due process". The same with Hillary, who says believe all women, except when it comes to accusations about her hustband, when the accusers are instead all evil bitches. If Trump tells a black man he isn't black, the left would be outraged with such a statement. If Biden does it, just silence. Trumps a criminal and when its Biden, there are no facts (just FBI etc whistleblowers, hundreds of suspicious bank reports, 20 shell companies, laptop from hell, money flowing here and there, meetings with Hunter business associates ,emails etc.).

Trump is the most maligned person on the planet, by a continuous and endless campaign of hate from the left. This demonisation of Trump by the anti-semitic left is reminiscent of what Hitler did to the Jews. See, I just had to get that in!

I asked Claude 2 (ChatGPT competitor) this: blood of our country meaning

It's response:

"Blood of our country" is a phrase that refers to the lives, effort, and sacrifice of the people, especially soldiers, who have defended or built up a country. Some key points about the phrase:

- It metaphorically refers to the blood spilled and lives lost in conflict defending the country, like soldiers killed in battle. This sacrifices are seen as having helped form, shape, or maintain the country.

- More broadly, it can refer to the collective effort, sweat, hard work, and even blood, figuratively, of a country's citizens that contributes to building that nation over time.

- It evokes concepts like patriotism, national identity, and the way citizens are seen as inextricably tied to the fate and fabric of their country.

So in summary, "blood of our country" conveys that the vital essence of a nation and what gives it life is the sacrifice, effort, suffering, and lives of its people - it metaphorically recognizes that a country is composed of the blood and labor of those who formed and sustained it over time. The phrase is often used rhetorically to inspire patriotism and nationalism.

I can't see Hitler in there anywhere. Where have both I and the AI gone wrong?

What about the phrase, poisoning the blood of our country?

The phrase "poison the blood of our country" is a metaphorical expression that refers to the introduction of harmful, toxic, destructive, or corrupting influences into a nation that weaken, damage, or undermine the country's foundations and institutions. Some key points:

- It suggests contaminating or polluting the vital essence and critical life force of the country - its "blood" is its fundamental values, beliefs, unity, and drive to thrive.

- The "poison" refers to dangerous or unhealthy ideas, actions, propaganda, or ideologies that spread like an infection to damage the country from within.

- For example, extremist political rhetoric, rampant corruption and criminality, glorification of violence, or promotion of hatred between different groups could "poison the blood" of a nation.

- The metaphor implies that allowing such toxins to spread will make the country sick, weaken its social bonds and institutions, ultimately threatening its ability to function and survive.

So in essence, "poisoning the blood" rhetoric is deployed to criticize and warn against particular trends, behaviors, ideologies or actors who pose an internal infection-like danger to the shared health and values of a nation or society if allowed to propagate unchecked. The implication is they must be dealt with or cleansed to avoid harming and decomposing the country from within.

No Hitler yet again. It does indeed refer to "criminality", like Trump does. Food for thought. Perhaps taking a second look will allow you to escape the box of the Democrat mentality that imprisons you into thinking Trump is all evil.

The choice of words speaks for itself sufficiently.

You don't do well with analogies or metaphors, do you.
I suppose that is to be expected given your 2nd language is English.

Yet he has repeatedly said in the past that when he talks about illegal immigrants being criminals, he is not saying they are all criminals, just that a higher percentage are. And that is a statistical fact.
You sure about that?

Abstract
The study found that undocumented immigrants had substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses. Relative to undocumented immigrants, U.S.-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes. In addition, the proportion of arrests involving undocumented immigrants in Texas was relatively stable or decreasing over this period.

You sure about that?

How could the study know this? Does every police department in the United States have a box they check of whether someone is an illegal immigrant or not and then that is publicly reported? I constantly run across things being supposedly 'measured' that I highly doubt can be very well measured.

Secondly add to that the fact that in reality, the immigrant population is not a hard fast known. It can be estimated, but that brings in the bias of the estimat-or. So how does the study calculate the denominator?

Mmm....I don't think so

Obvious you didn't read or comprehend it.

The new paper is among the first to do so. Light and his team were able to delve into the details after learning that the Texas Department of Public Safety had begun cooperating with the Department of Homeland Security to check and record the immigration status of everyone arrested in the state.

You are taking this literally. Haven't you ever heard a phrase like "the interstate system is the lifeblood of America" He is using lifeblood in the same context. "All of us together". Trump should not feel constrained to edit his remarks because people who see evil in everything he says/does might find something especially egregious and repeat it, out of context, ad nauseum for YEARS.

You are seeing evil where there is none because instead of considering the larger meaning of the remarks, you choose to pick the sound bite out of context that sounds racist. Only a Trump hater would take this as meaning anything other than ALL OF US
