How to I change the global measurement setting from cm to inch?

I can find in Word/Excel but not in Access 2010 :banghead:

It's dependent on your regional settings I believe. Certainly when I use a US database I get inches " and in the UK I get cm.

Fiddled with the region settings Access is still coming up in cm. Including restart pc after change.

Might be worth changing the dictionary language used in Access - not sure what version you're using.

I did a web search. This question comes up in Word and PowerPoint as well. In all cases where anyone has answered, the answer is always "Regional Settings."

Change the measuring system in the "Regional Settings."
Sorry I can only show it in Danish.

JHB,

Wow.... that is quite the trip to find but then again with Windows 10 I always seem to go in circles when looking for a setting.

Changing that did the trick, Thank you.

The_Doc_Man,

I'm surprised people couldn't find where to manually change to inch in Word under Options/Advance. As Minty suggested about the regional settings, changing the Region and Language only did not solve the problem in my case.

Matthew,

I used to be surprised that people couldn't find things, but then realized a long time ago that Microsoft can't make money on their training courses if they didn't relocate things now and then. (Changing from Ribbons vs. Menu Bars for recent example.)

I at least have the advantage of remembering that "there used to be this option to change X to ..." a long time ago and so know which questions to ask when searching the web or the online help. Oh, yeah, that's ANOTHER pet peeve - no longer installing local help files with the utilities.

Given the relatively recent (measured in years) changes to ribbons and on-line help only, I'm no longer surprised that folks can't find what they want.

i had the same problem... you also may need to do this with Dates as well
